Initiation of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)

              • Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) was started in year 2000 and was hosted by "Star of the Millennium", Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.
              • Being one of the first shows of its kind, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) was taken very well by audience of India and within a short span billions of people of every age started putting their efforts to see themselves on "Hot Seat" of KBC, and obviously beside Bachchan.

Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitya (KBC2)

  • Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) was restarted after a break of four years and renamed as "Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitya" in which the final prize was raised to 2 Crore, Unfortunately the game was abruptly ended by Star Plus after KBC host Amitabh Bachchan fell ill, Amitabh had shot 61 of the 85 episodes when he fell ill, seeing the popularity of the show and support of audience he announced to return with the show as soon as he recovered.
  • Star TV had to take the decision to axe KBC when Mr. Bachchan's health prevented him to film rest of 24 episodes.

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season Three (KBC3)
  • As a next Super Star, Star TV roped in "Shahrukh Khan" as host of the third season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), Mr. Khan was at peak of his career and was considered an ideal replacement for Amitabh Bachchan as the host of the KBC show.
  • It was decided to keep the prize money as 2 Crore even in season 3 of KBC, The third season of KBC started on 22nd January 2007, but the show was soon started loosing its attraction and ratings, (some still blame replacement of host as a cause), after the unsatisfactory review and response from audience, the show was ended on 19 April 2007.

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season Four (KBC4)

  • As promised, Mr. Bachchan returned with flying colors on his 68th birthday and gifted a long waiting fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC4) on 11 October 2010, As per online new sources, over five million (50 lakh) people participated in KBC4 auditions, this time the prize money was decreased to 1 Crore.
  • However a new jackpot question for 5 crore was added to KBC4
  • KBC4 was highly successful with the return of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as a host and ended on 09 December 2010.

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season Five (KBC5)
  • Now, Kaun Banega Crorepati season fifth (KBC5) has been started by Amitabh Bachchan on 15 August 2011 as an Independence gift to audience of India.
  • In a span of just couple of months, KBC5 has already changed lives of a few including Suresh Kumar (5 Crore Winner) and Anil Sinha (1 Crore Winner).
